Wise Women Who Hoop Dance Group

Join us for our weekly live Hoop Dance Class!

Are you more motivated to stay connected to your hoop movement practice if you have a weekly group class to attend?  

Well, here's your chance to join our group of intermediate hoopers who meet to explore the hoop dance movement and stay motivated to play and be fit.

Here's what you will be learning and exploring:

  • We start each class with a warm-up, stretching with our hoop.
  • Next, we use a bigger-sized hoop to hoop on the body, including the waist, hips, knees, shoulders, and chest.
  • We continue on to explore new hoop tricks, dance footwork, arm styling, turning, and choreography. (We use smaller hoops for this section and also use double/twin hoops)
  • Some of the focus is on fitness while also dance and skill-building.
  • We always end the class with hoop balancing as a cool down.

This class started in March 2020 at the beginning of Covid with three of my personal friends to keep moving during shut down and stay-at-home orders. Now in 2021, I've decided to continue and open it to other hoopers to join in!!

What's Included:

  • Weekly Live Zoom Classes 
  • Replays of Classes Available to use at your convenience in our private Facebook group
  • Private Facebook Community group to connect outside of class with others, ask questions, share progress.

Recommended hoop sizes for these classes: 

  • Bigger on the body and stretching hoop (I use a 40 inch) whatever you are comfortable with; usually 38-42 inches.
  • Smaller Hybrid hoop to use on and off-body (I use 35-inch 3/4 poly-pro taped, with 3m grip tape on the inside) whatever you are comfortable with; usually 33-36 inch
  • Double or twin hoops (I use (2) 29 Inch 5/8 hoops taped whatever you are comfortable with; usually 27-32 inches (make sure both hoops are the same size.
